Dakar is undoubtedly the world’s greatest off-road rally race. It’s the most demanding too. Earth, sand, wind, dust: we had everything to contend with during our win in 2016, barely one year on from our return to the sport.

In 2017, we set off with the same ambitions, the same passion for adventure and a new car: the PEUGEOT 3008 DKR. The Peugeot Sport Dream Team’s work and commitment paid off, with a magnificent one-two-three overall at the finishing line, after 8,823 km of no-holds-barred racing. It was a superb performance that adds to Peugeot's five previous wins in this legendary race (1987, 1988, 1989, 1990 and 2016).

THE PEUGEOT 3008 DKR

After winning Dakar in January 2016 and the Silk Way Rally in July 2016 in the PEUGEOT 2008 DKR, the Peugeot brand set itself a fresh challenge for the 2017 rally-raid season with the design of an all-new racing car: the PEUGEOT 3008 DKR, the race incarnation of its latest production car, the Peugeot 3008 SUV.

Boasting suspension upgrades, an engine optimised to meet the new FIA regulations, and a robust and aggressive SUV design, the PEUGEOT 3008 DKR pushes the technical innovations under the bonnet even further... The result is superb racing performances! At the finish line of Dakar 2017 in Buenos Aires on 14 January, it was a one-two-three: an all Peugeot podium. The three PEUGEOT 3008 DKR of Stéphane Peterhansel, Sébastien Loeb and Cyril Despres came out on top in fine style after 8,823km of racing.
